Video edited by Roxy van der Post at Myosotis Film & Photography

what is flow state?

You might also know this as, ‘being in the zone’, or a ‘meditative state’. Basically flow involves an intense focus, complete immersion in a task, and a feeling of timelessness. By embracing this state, through perhaps drawing, pottery or breathwork (to name but a few) you can yield substantial benefits for both you and those around you, by making you feel generally more positive, joyful, satisfied, resilient and more engaged with life. As if that wasn’t enough, it is also proven to reduce stress and the chances of burnout.

About

Who we are

Beth

Professional jeweller Beth is an experienced teacher and has a successful career in the arts. She founded www.rose-honey.co.uk

two years ago and her popular jewellery carving workshops stem from her passion to create a relaxing and meditative environment for participants to create a unique piece of silver jewellery, often starting from zero skills. She was inspired to create a platform for other like minded skilled craftspeople who love sparking creativity in others through teaching workshops.

CHERRY

Cherry is a Creative Industries Coach & Facilitator and the visionary behind www.thebrainspa.co.uk. In her work she is committed to helping people find a place to think and reflect on what is and isn't working in their lives and how to find their own flow. Through 1:2:1 sessions , group coaching and workshops, Cherry's aim is to re-ignite the fire in those that are feeling stuck and looking for change. Cherry is also an avid potter so has experienced first hand the benefits of flow and the positive impact it’s had on her life. She is passionate about sharing this with others so they can also feel the benefits and find a way to feel relief from their own hectic lives.

How It Works

how it works

The day is divided into three parts (one in the morning and two in the afternoon), with 10 two hour workshops happening in each slot.

Once you have bought your ticket, you get to choose up to two craft workshops and one wellbeing session, from over 20 practitioners. You can choose either a day ticket or to book your workshop choices separately.

Your day will begin with an inspiring keynote talk by artist & disability campaigner Alison Lapper MBE. Lunch is provided by The Real Junk Food Project and you will have the opportunity to visit our Community and Maker's Market space during the breaks. Mama's cocktails will be providing their award winning cocktails with tunes by the Swing Ninjas to finish your day off nicely!
